Leigh died at her home in Beverly Hills after a long battle with cancer, said her publicist, Dick Guttman. Leigh was the only child of a couple who often moved from town to town. Living in apartments, Leigh was a bright child who excelled in school.
Leigh's big break came in 1955 when she starred opposite Tony Curtis in the romantic comedy "The Glenn Miller Story."
